The Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate biotechnology is derived primarily from three federal statutes: the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA); the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA); and the Toxic Substances and Control Act (TSCA).
