The law does not require an employee to provide any particular information to an employer before
returning to work, unless the employer requests certification from a healthcare provider that the
employee is able to go back to work. In that case, the employee must provide the medical certification.
The employer is also permitted to require an employee on leave to report periodically on the status and
intention of the employee to return to work.
