“Independent from production”. Does having different managers constitute independence? If not, at what point in an organization is it acceptable for quality and manufacturing to report to the same person?
The fundamental idea is not to have conflict of interest. For example, the senior vice president for
quality should have the independent authority to approve or require changes.
