A contract manufacturer is an extension of your own operations. There’s nothing that says they
have to do any testing on those reference standards that you are sending them as long as they
are being shipped and stored in conformance with labeled instructions. So unless there’s
something unusual that’s going by a circuitous route and some very adverse conditions, a
company doesn’t necessarily have to have a contract manufacturer do any acceptance testing on
your reference standards that you are sending to them.
