Should companies maintain accountability of reference standards in the QA labs, i.e. a log of every use amount and date of the reference standard, that is reconciled with the amount of reference standard received. Is this a general expectation?

Section 11.1 of Q7A says, “Records should be maintained of each primary reference standard’s
storage and use in accordance with the supplier’s recommendations”. There is no specific
mention of the need for use log or a reconciliation regarding reference standards.
