This is in regard to a slide 11-5 in laboratory operations, which said that you had to have a procedure for sampling. Was that referring to a sampling procedure for obtaining a bulk sample from the lot or was that referring to sampling that bulk sample for use in the laboratory?

This is referring to the sampling within the laboratory to get the testing sample. In the section on
material management, Section 7.1, general controls, it states there should be written procedures
describing the receipt, identification, quarantine, storage, handling, sampling, etc., of materials.
So, there should be procedures for both samplings, but they are described in two different
sections: one for the sampling of the materials and one for the sampling of the laboratory test
sample.
