Yes, it is logical and preferable that you validate analytical methods before initiating process
validation to have confidence in the data generated during the validation study. In reality it often
happens that analytical validation is not fully complete at the beginning of process validation.
However, in such a situation any changes to the method would have to be investigated as to the
impact on the process validation.
