The earliest that an importer would need to comply with the FSVP regulation would be 18 months after issuance of the final rule, i.e., May 2017. Importers whose foreign supplier must comply with the following rules will be required to comply with the FSVP regulation six (6) months after their supplier is required to comply with the applicable regulation.
