A contractor, regardless of the activities they perform, is an extension of the manufacturer’s
operations. Therefore, the manufacturer is still responsible for ensuring GMP compliance for
those activities that have been contracted out. Again, just the fact that you contracted an activity
does not mean that you no longer have responsibility for that activity.
